2008 MARC- NERC-NAHRO Legislative Breakfast Program
Three speakers entertained, rallied and informed the group on housing and community development priorities facing American communities today. They backed up their stories with facts and figures for effective communication with Members of Congress.
Saul Ramirez, NAHRO’s Executive Director, welcomed everyone, opened the Program and presented priorities among the many challenges facing local agencies and those they serve across America.
Congressman Albio Sires of New Jersey’s 13th District presented lively perspectives on housing and redevelopment trends and funding issues.
Dom McCoy, staff member in Massachusetts Representative Barney Frank’s office, provided details to round out local situations and needs.
Again the Annual MARC- NERC-NAHRO co-sponsored Legislative Breakfast Program, was a major success with over 100 Members prepared to go “on the hill.”
