MARC-NAHRO General Membership Meeting with Awards Program
May 6, 2008
Seaview Marriott Hotel and Resort Ballroom, Absecon, NJ
1. The meeting was called to order by President Sam Hudman at 8:52 a.m. Agenda accepted on a motion by Bender, seconded by DiVincent. Motion passed.
2. Minutes:
Loyd moved to accept the Ocean City May, 2007 Conference General Membership Meeting Minutes. Gaffney seconded motion. Motion passed. (Posted on Web site www.marcnahro.org ).
3. Financial Report:
Treasurer Report: Fred Purnell stated that the financial health of the organization remains strong. Ray Bender reported that the investments with PNC Investments continue to show a gain over time.

5. President's Report: Hudman
Noted that the 2008 Annual Conference and Trainings had 186 in attendance. He thanked the Conference Chair, Lou Riccio, for holding a quite successful conference from financial and program perspective. Hudman also thanked Sherry Dizitio, Terri Weinbecht, and Larry and Peggy Cobb for their assistance with the conference.
He also thanked Atlantic City Housing Authority for hosting a tour of their developments.
MAHRA NAHRO will co-sponsor the 2009 Annual Conference, Ocean City, May 20-23, 2009. Martin announced a free training on Tuesday, before the Conference begins.
6. Senior Vice President’s Report: Purnell

May 13-14, 2008 Pittsburgh LISC, NEF, Fannie Mae, Affordable Housing Forum (Asset Management & Development)
2010 Annual Conference will be held in Delaware
7. Standing & Other Committee Reports:
Bender, Election Committee:
According to the Bylaws, Bender stated that, and as chair of the election committee, the slate was elected. Terms of office begin at the close of the October, 2008 Annual NAHRO Conference in San Antonio, TX.
Bender: Housing America:
Housing America is in the second year of the campaign with 24 national partners. Although April is recognized as the month to celebrate Housing America, efforts are welcomed at any time.
Martin: Professional Development: Martin discussed the NPDS and its new certification and commissioner components. Development of e-learning program “brings NAHRO home”.

Awards Presentations Program: Recognition of those Agencies who received Awards of Excellence and Merit. The MARC-NAHRO Awards of Merit and Excellence were announced with certificates presented to 27 agencies for their outstanding submissions. Each was recommended to NAHRO for recognition as well.
10. Program:
Renee Rooker, NAHRO President, presented an overview of NAHRO activity, especially NPDS (National Professional Development System).
Saul Ramirez, NAHRO Executive Director, gave an update of Section 8 and Legislative Priorities.
